Development of nano biosensors based on metal oxide nanowires

In the frame of this topic, SENSOR will deal with the development of a new generation of nano biosensors for biomedical applications, based on metal-oxide nanostructures, carbon and silicon, grafted with specific biomolecules.

Development of an electronic nose for non-invasive and early monitoring of infections of skin wounds/burns.
The objective of this research is the development of a device able to monitor in a non-invasive and early way the conditions of infections of skin surface wounds/burns. This will be achieved with an electronic nose putting together an innovative sampling system for the volatile fraction, a gas sensors array and an intelligent system for data analysis.
