Manohar Prasad Bhandari was born in 1988 in Nepal. He is a PhD student at the SENSOR Laboratory, CNR-INO and University of Brescia, Department of Information Engineering under the Erasmus Mundus LEADER project, starting from November 2015. He received his Master’s degree in Biotechnology in 2013 from South Asian University (SAARC University), New Delhi, India with a thesis entitled 'The Role of PIN1 in Prostate and Breast Cancer Cell Proliferation'. He obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology in 2010 from Tribhuvan University, Nepal.

His PhD research activities are mainly focused on the Electronic Nose (nanowire gas sensor device) and its application in the food quality control and safety, environmental monitoring combined with GC-MS- SPME and HPLC techniques. His research interests include biosensors, nanobiosensors for cancer diagnosis and detection, drug discovery and analysis.
