The hunger and the inquisitiveness to understand these mysteries became an obsession in his life which led him to obtain his Bachelor of Science Degree on Physics, Mathematics, Statistics and Computer Science from University of Kelaniya, Sri Lanka in 2009.
With the dedication and commitment towards achieving high remarks in the area of Material Physics and the strong background he has paved to complete his MSc degree on the thesis of “Growth of CuO Thin Films for Possible PV Applications” under the supervision of Prof. W. P. Siripala and Prof. L. B. D. R. P. Wijesundera in 2013 at the Postgraduate Institute of Science, University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka. Owing to his excellency in the academic and research experiences he has been awarded in several research scholarship, fellowship, awards in all the categories at University, Presidential and International level during his PhD studies on “Studies on modified chemical bath deposited CdS thin films as a solar cell window matrial” which was supervised by Dr. B.S. Dassanayake, Dr. C.P. Jayalath and Prof. L. B. D. R. P. Wijesundera. Furthermore, owing to his brilliant performance in academics and research, he had no competition on being selected for ERAMUS+ scholar ship program in 2017 which was awarded only for 5 PhD students in Sri Lanka do research work at university of Brescia, Italy.
